CAMP FIRE

Start date: November 8, 2018

Butte County: 153,336 acres burned

Damage: 18,804 buildings destroyed, 85 deaths

Cost: $16.5 Billion

Cause: PG&E electrical equipment

The November 8, 2018 Camp Fire was the most devastating wildfire in California history, and was the fire that pushed PG&E into Chapter 11 Bankruptcy proceedings on January 29, 2019.

PG&E conceded that its equipment was the probable source of that fire, and the Public Utilities Commission issued a report in late November, 2019 severely criticizing PG&E’s equipment maintenance practices, noting the lack of appropriate equipment maintenance is the likely cause of the Camp Fire.

While originally set for October 21, 2019, the deadline date for filing claims against PG&E was extended to December 31, 2019. Further deadline date extensions are unlikely.

We currently represent hundreds of Camp Fire survivors with clams against PG&E.
